Account Information — When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and username. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID and associated email.
Health & Hair Loss Information — During onboarding, you may provide information about your age, biological sex, hair loss history, family history, medical conditions, current medications, and treatment preferences. This data is used solely to personalize your educational analysis.
Photos & Images — Photos of your head captured through the app's camera feature are used for AI-powered hair pattern analysis. Photos are stored securely in your account. When photos are sent to our AI processing services for analysis, they are not retained after processing is complete.
Medication Tracking Data — If you use our medication tracker, we store medication names, dosages, and adherence logs to help you monitor your routine.
Face Data — During the scanning process, the app uses on-device facial landmark detection to determine head orientation and guide you to position correctly. This face data is processed entirely on your device, is never transmitted to any server, and is discarded from memory immediately after use. Face data is never used for facial recognition or identity verification.
Your photos are used solely for educational hair pattern analysis. They are never used to train or improve AI models. Your explicit consent is obtained before any photos are processed by AI services.
You may delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time through the Profile page.
Follic uses third-party AI services to analyze your photos and generate educational hair pattern insights.
Follic is currently available only in the United States and United Kingdom. Access from other regions is restricted.
